By now you know that I’m not the FITtiest FITness guru of all times. I’m not the most professional FITness person you know. I like to eat, I like to wine and I like to workout and snack on sweets.
I want to be FIT, I want to have super tight sculpted muscles most of the time but mainly I want to look decent in my clothes. Isn’t this the goal? I gave up on my bo flex commercial model aspirations about 8 years ago. Still, I do have intentions of ripped wash board abs, giving up wine and trading it for tuna, kale and brown rice for three months but the TRUTH is, I’m comfortable. I guess I don’t really want it as bad as I use too. Yes I still want to be tight in my jeans and look as good as possible in my dress for that rare occasion but I’ve been there done that…secretly want to maintain it. But the older I bet the harder it is to be disciplined.
This is me and my family thanksgiving 2015
Not bad. I look good in my jeans, if I do say so myself and I have a bit of definition in my arms. However, this was before I made a change!
Today is my 30 day mark of making a drastic change. And yes, I did it smack dab in the middle of the holidays. (Extra Bonus points please)
30 days ago I was at the top of my game on wine, sweets and no discretion on my diet. Eeek! I was basically drinking 2 to 3 glasses of wine a night then making poor choices. Anyone else know the drill?
However, the Monday after thanksgiving I was inspired to make a change. Actually practice what I preach ….. Be better than my blog. Read this for some inspiration Be Better than…
So I did it. I went back to the old days when I only had champagne Friday and Saturday nights. I stopped habitually drinking wine while cooking or heaven forbid driving my child to lax practice. (Ugly admission but true). So guess what? In two days I will be able to say I quit drinking during the holiday they the week and I got my mojo back along with my abs and arms!!!!
You heard me. The extra 4pound bloat vanished after two weeks, the shrink wrap definition of muscles was apparent. Invigorating!!! It was a Christmas miracle. I felt like I was in my twenties. My energy has been up and I wasn’t tanking so hard at the end of the night. What’s more, the money I’m saving on not buying wine is actually more than I thought. BONUS!!!!
So sweeties, by now you know the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth! Stay truthful workout warriors. If you want to get out of the box and do something different now is the time. Start today. You will be amazed how your mind will be defogged and your body will be cleansed. xo
