Tick tock, tick tock…
In approximately 158 days we will be celebrating CHRISTMAS! Can you believe it? In only six short months, everyone I know will be bustling around and frantically making irrational impulse purchases!! Many of you will be stressing out about family, food activities and party clothes.
I have a healthy proposal to end a portion of your stress and ensure that Christmas 2016 is everything merry and bright. This is a proactive greeting card from me to you! I encourage you to GIFT yourself! Not that any woman ever needs permission but I want you to give yourself an early Christmas present. Exciting!! That’s right…think of it as Christmas in JULY!
I knew you would love it! Pull out a big ol bag of gusto and glitter because Santa’s got a brand new bag it’s your time to shine. Don’t wait or waste time. Let the count down to Christmas begin! I want you to experience the healthiest and happiest holiday season ever.
July is prime time to lay some serious ground work before the back to school festivities and football season arrive. You will be amazed at the difference 158 days will make on your dress and jean size. Don’t be fooled again this year into “believing” that you will start working out and eating better when the kids go back to school. Honey child, we all know that life only gets busier and crazier in the fall. Shoot, we all know that when the time changes and the days get shorter we dress in PJ’s and crawl into bed. So take advantage of the day light and don’t delay or post pone the inevitable. The last thing you want is to be scrambling around come October. This will only make you anxious and feel bad about yourself.
Immerse Yourself and do the work now. Fad diets and starve tactics have proven failure over and over. Follow my plan for a healthy regimen and weekly workouts. There is ample time to get FIT, lose weight, tone up and feel great just in time to ring those jingle bells.
Are you looking to drop some weight? Do you want to fit into a dress for a special occasion? Are you tired of feeling lethargic and worn out? Do you have a reunion or hopes of an engagement? Girls trip? Family vacation?
Start now and by the end of the year, you will be celebrating more than the traditional holly jolly merriment.
If you believe you will receive. Where to start?
Saddle up pilgrim; before you can prepare the feast you have to kill the beast. Clean out your fridge and pantry. Do it today! Feed the homeless. Give it away. All of the chips, cookies and other high fat processed foods. Chuck it or flush it down the toilet but get rid of any tempting high fat junk food out of your home. Fill the fridge with green leafy vegetables and fruits. Plums, peaches, oranges, and every berry you can find. Kale, spinach and asparagus are great grill mates with fish and chicken. Popcorn, edamame, Greek fat-free yogurt, almonds, kale chips and pretzels are fun snacks to keep in the pantry. Quest Bars are packed with 30 grams of protein and a ton of fiber . Stock up on Premier Protein shakes. No mess or hassle.
Melt the jiggle with weight training. If you are local, come join me for a private training session or group training sessions. RETHINK YOUR THERAPY at Abercrombie and FITness located in Coppell Texas.
Leave the wiggle and jiggle for the big man in red, Sir Clause. Below I have prepared a simple beginner fat burning workout. Use 5, 8 or 10 pound weights and or your body weight to complete these exercises.
Squat curl press – 15 reps
Crunches – 15 reps
Tricep dips from chair or bench – 15 reps
Push ups – use your knees if you need to 15 reps
Back ward lunges – 8-10 reps on each side
Hold plank pose from your forearms 30 second intervals
You have to move your body. It’s that simple. Stand up, dance, power walk, zumba, spin or sprint. You have to start somewhere. Start slow 15-20 minutes segments of cardio 3 times a week. Get the blood flowing and within a week you will already feel better. By December you will be in peak performance mode.
This is the gift that keeps on giving! New clothes! Wardrobe change! Look and feel great in your christmas party cocktail dress and ring in the new year with your skin-tight bell bottom jeans! Experience energy and real change!
Love, PEACE and Christmas trees!
