It’s almost Summer and I couldn’t be more excited. We Abercrombie’s spend the majority of the Summer, (next three months) in our backyard. We hang in the swimming pool, lay in the sun and or sit outside as much as we can!
In Texas, it get’s hot in a hurry therefore a backyard umbrella is a must have for shade.
Mr. Chicken Fry found these “Grade A” umbrellas last year on Amazon. We love them and the price is right coming in at $75 a pop.

We have two of these solar powered patio umbrellas in our back yard! I especially love the pop of light in the evenings which add a simplistic ambience! There are countless vibrant colors to choose from. I would say that the umbrellas will last up to two full years before sun fading.

I thought this juvenile float would look fun floating in the pool and be fun for kids and adults. It’s not super dee duper high quality material but I like the look of it floating around! Here is the deal, if you have young kids, I would guess this mermaid tail pool float will NOT hold up longer than a week or two. However, if an adult only situation it should last at least a full Summer season.

I do wear sunscreen…I use the IT Cosmetics 50 spf cc cream on my face daily. $39.50 a tube at ULTA or on Amazon. I also put 30 SPF on my chest and shoulders. But everywhere else, I slather my skin with coconut oil all Summer long. It’s an all natural SPF and makes my skin shine like a diamond!
Bring on the Summer fun. I think we could all use a little enjoyment and merriment even if it is in our own back yard!
