The last time I visited Frisco, Colorado I was in the single digits. I was a young girl tag along for the Christmas family vacation to Copper Mountain. Mom, Dad and grandparents in tow, loaded in a sedan with snacks and coloring books. Daddy would put the pedal to the metal driving straight through from Texas. Yes a sometimes snowy 13 hour drive only to pull into what I recall was a motel with a sauna!
Today… the same JANE DOE motel is a retro vibe motel called the SNOW SHOE in Frisco. The only difference is the restored motels in Frisco are now a high dollar commodity during peak seasons.
There is so much to see and do I this gingerbread decorated town. I’m told the Summers are epic and more lively with music, art and outdoor activities.
Now, as a full grown adult with a family of my own I have a nostalgic heart to see the old stomping grounds. After an epic week in TELLURIDE Mr. Chicken Fry and I decided to join our friends in Frisco, Co for NYE 2023!

Sorel snow boots TofinoII (fawn sea sprite) insulated and waterproof snow boots are incredibly warm and comfortable. I don’t take or pack any other shoes on my ski vacation! They handle well in the snow and unlike other Sorels, the TofinoII are not clunky and heavy. I love the pop of mint in the shoe laces against the white faux fur! The TofinoII comes in 10 or more colors!!
Much has changed in 45 years (lol). Ya’ll, this Hallmark movie town is too precious for words!
One block from Main Street FRISCO GOLD 1000 percent lives up to it’s name! Centerally located in town and half a mile from Lake Dillon, aka Dillion Reservoir, it’s a prime rental home for ALL SEASONS!

Sit back and enjoy, shop, listen to live music, bike, hike, fish or gaze out for a view you can do it all. This prime spot is literally 15 steps away from the best massage spa, hair salon or sports bar!
From FRISCO GOLD your eyes stare out of giant sliding glass window to three ginormous mountain tops. The house is a perfect blend of modern and traditional. It’s a prime three bedroom three bath house open concept with all the bells and whistles. FRISCO GOLD sleeps 10 and will soon have two major living areas! THE BIG screen TV’s in every room is bliss for families or couples who need to slip away from group activities!
RESTAURANT RECOMMENDATIONS
THE BUTTERHORN cafe This first come first serve breakfast and lunch spot was a winner winner! Dare to take a gander at the dreamy bakery bar?? It’s loaded with fresh breads, muffins and baked good for every sweet tooth!
The fully loaded Bloody Mary topped with bacon resembles a full blown salad. Topped with all the beefy accoutraments your cheeks will be rosy! The chicken fried steak and potatoes was my hubbys’ fav! I ordered up a gluten free spinach and egg sandwhich that was to die for delicious.
We spent NYE 2022 turning in the New Year at Frisco Prime. Located at the end of Main Street this conventional casual restaurant is mostly open concept and big screen TV’s. The food and service was slow but after all it was NYE!
Take your pick… FRISCO GOLD is an excellent opportunity for a “Girls Trip”, “Guys Trip”, “Couples Trip”, family vacation, “Staycation”, a quick getaway or work away from home.
Without weather delays and or traffic, Frisco, Colorado is only an hour and fifteen min drive from Denver. Just 15-20 minutes pass the Eisenhower Tunnel is a tinsel town just waiting to be explored.

The Obermeyer Bombshell stripped jacket is warm & eye catching. The only issue is it’s missing interior pockets. The hood is not detachable but I like just the same! The colors and flattering lines have an Aviator Nation vibe! This coat is perfect for winter weather sports or outdoor activities.
Ski suit crush! I decided to go all out and order a few Tipsey Elves snow suits to twin with my daughter. These snow suits have a retro look but are legit warm. Completely offer tons of movement and comfort. The insulation is 5 star as are the vibrant colors!! All suits are waterproof and gurantee smiles for miles!
The central location of the VRBO Frisco Gold is the key element to your stay! It opens the opportunity to do more and see more! Many rent a car but there is a shuttle and schedule.
