51 year old Gen X’r here!
Melancholy? Middle-age? Melodrama? Maybe its just menopause?!
Man, I hate to say it but “they” were RIGHT! After age fifty things really do change. Lots and lots of changes. It can be simple things such as the irritated cuss words that roll off your tongue like water on a ducks back. Other changes include the acute way you hear people breathe. Menopause is a gradual change that will cause things and people to bother you.
RENPHO EYE MASSAGER this heat and air pressure eye and temple massager is a menopause must!

Here’s the deal. I don’t want to read a book about it. I don’t wanna read articles about it. I really don’t even wanna talk to my doctors about it. This is what I call a grin and bare it situation, pour the wine and compare notes with the girlfriends.
Yall…by things change…I’m distinctly referring to the body. Shit shifts!
I was warned…but I didn’t really believe it would happen so fast. Rapidly…like overnight menopause rolled in starting causing havoc.
Ladies…like a locomotive skin texture changes, and clothes fit differently. There is sagging and drooping. Once creamy soft skin is crepy and wrinkled in
It’s not the hot flashes or mood swings that suck, it’s the loss of youth. I mean a youthful supple glow of skin, how you dress, how much effort goes into everything.
A simple wake up and roll routine is long gone. Now there are stretches, eyedrops, skin care, and plus some before I even pour a cup of coffee. Now Im invested in neck creak, skin tightning serum and anything else that promises to firm.

I have good good good lean days and followed by bloated puffy yuck days. Some days I feel 28 and other days I feel 69. One minute I’m deeply emotional and the next I’m a frustrated and annoyed. I can be sentimental and lovey and irritated in a nano second. I have great weeks of clear thinking and motivation followed by forgetting why I walked into a room. I’m hot, I’m cold, I’m hot, I’m cold! Some days I wanna take up jogging and training for a half marathon and other days I just want to sit and drink wine.
This could be from the constant comments such as “for your age”. You look good for your age. You can move great for your age. You can see really good for your age. You have great energy for your age. For your age your muscle tone is in the zone.
Truth is I don’t mind the wisdom and maturity, I just hate the wishy washy between seasons feeling.

Some days I’m like oh my gosh I’m back. I’m back to my old young self. Everything feels good, nothing hurts or aches. Clothes and make up pull on or brush on smooth. Then…in a blink, I feel like a young girl who not yet become a women. A girl waiting to get period!

Sherpa Fleece half zip This fleece is so warm and cozy. It comes in so many cute colors.
And basically isn’t this it? When you think about a young girl who hasn’t yet had her first period. She has no waistline or true figure. But things change. Once a girl gets her period you can see the breasts develop and a waistline form. Menopause is pretty much the REVERSE effect.
Which is somewhat depressing. Who wants to go back to a pre-pubescent! All those years I spent griping and complaining about my period cramps and menstrual cycle only to wish it back.

Pinspark track jacket & Pinspark boot cut leggings

I have been living in this two piece fleece set. It’s a great designer dupe but beautiful quality and price.
If you think you are near the pre-menopausal stage or your almost out of of this devilish phase welcome to the club. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. YOU ARE NOT CRAZY and you will get passed it.
To combat the menopause, I chose hormone therapy. I started taking hormones a while back and I feel that anything is better than nothing. If your doctor discovers you are lacking in certain areas supplements can super charge sex drive, dryness and overall motivation. NAD plus PQQ is also helping me with energy and stamnia. Exercise is key! I lift weights 5 times a week and do 20 mins of dedicated cardio. If you don’t use it you lose it!
