I’m a pizzazz kind of girl. I add a little extra extra to almost everything. From outfits to meals, I like to jazz life up with a hint of sparkle, spice, a dash of sweet and all that is in bewteen.
Last weekend I had a classic case of the munchies. I was jonesing for a snack. This hankering lead me to the pantry where I made a glorious discovery that some might even deem genius. But before I take you to the roller coaster I must give a tid bit of back story.
For years I have raved about a semi healthy combo snack I call “Popcorn and Milk Duds.” This salty sweet duo stems from many a movie night with my best girl Cass from HI Sugarplum, who by the way, recently posted some cute new duds (no pun intended) from LULULEMON.
Pop Corn and Milk Duds was birthed from the need to pep up the popcorn. This crafty snack has been a 26 year bi monthly delicacy which satisfies my sweet and salty fetish. To clarify, this nibble approved treat which is movie or microwave popcorn and Milk Duds, is a once in a blue moon deal. I’m not recommending that this candy popcorn combo morph into a nightly feast. We don’t want the muffin top to morph.
While I don’t frown upon it’s saturated fats and calorie content, it can tip the sugar sales a tad. A cool upside is to think of this goodie bag as a shared experience which cuts everything in half! Which makes my new invention even better! Y

Introducing the new and improved low sugar choloaty pop corn snack. Prozazzed popcorn?? I’m still working on the name.
The other night I was hungry for my infamous tasty treat only I was out of Milk Duds! Out of desperation, I opened the pantry to luckily lock eyes on a Quest bar practically begging to be included.
With no hesitation I grabbed the bar and began to prepare. I can’t believe that I had not thought of this sooner!
I took the chocolate brownie flavored Quest bar and chopped it up into bite square pieces.
From there I prepared the salty bite sized snack per usual using my step by step protocol.
Light Butter Popcorn
Total Fat 3g
Total Carbohydrate 9g
Dietary Fiber 0g
Includes 0g Added Sugars
Layer a few of the chocolate chunks in the bottom of the bowl and sprinkle in a layer of pop corn. Repeat this speedy process until the bowl is full. Pop the bowl into the microwave for less than 30 seconds.
Out comes a warm gooey melted 21 gram of protein sweet and salty treat!
Every few handfuls, your tastebuds are met with a chocolate salty delight.
If you’re feeling fancy, change it up! By all means don’t box yourself into one flavor. Quest bars come in a variety of qualified flavors so the possibilities are endless. I think double Chocolate chunk would be awesome. What do we think about Maple Waffle? Smores in your popcorn would be good right? What about the age old peanut
butter and salty treat? Like a popcorn Reeses pieces type of taste.
In about 5 minutes or less you will have before you a high protein low fat ABERCROMBIE AND FITNESS APPROVED guilt free snack.
Next steps, assume your position. Prop up your legs or sit criss cross watching Netflix or on demand with a bowl full of yummy “PROZAZZED pop corn”. Do it….cram handfuls of it into your mouth guilt free!
