The art of FITness

We all have artistic tendencies inside of us.  Want to know how I know this?

Our Creator, God himself, is the ultimate artist. Therefore, as His children, we are organically born with built in, creative… “ARTSY” know how!

From a hairdresser to a aircraft mechanic, the work is creative and master crafted.  As is the fine tuned skill of a school teacher’s originate language. To witness a veteran salesman or seasoned attorney’s keen intuition and ability to persuade is a beautiful thing to watch.

Sure the painters, graphic designers and sketchers of the world seem to get more recognition but the truth is everyone has a few creative bones their body.

This is one of my favorite pictures.  I have shared it many times because to me it speaks volumes!  As a personal trainer, I love whipping my clients bodies and health into shape. Transforming their preconceived concepts of their health and physique. I don’t work with wood, metal or steel but I’m a sculptor of FAT!  I help chisel away unnecessary pockets of fat using weights and exercise. And boom, just like that I’m an artist.

You can do it to!

FITness is a learned but not always a perfected art!

FITness is an attitude.  It’s gritty and brash but much like the ❤️ heart, it’s also soft and fickle.

The reason is, FITness is not turnkey and overnight.  It’s a process of practice, skill and determination. Michelangelo didn’t paint the Sistine Chapel in a week nor does an engineer craft a drainage plan for Trump Tower in a day! It takes time.  These things take time, planning, and process.

FITness is the ultimate reflection of internal and outward sustainable health.

Observe someone who is perpetually in the gym.  Lifting, pushing and sweating it out through each rep and workout session.  This is physical evidence of one who is inventing muscles via weight lifting.  Iron objects sculpting lean muscle. 💪🏽. This is the outward view and anyone can do this!  It’s an available art open to the public.  This means you!  You are the exhibit!

With natural eyes what you may not see is the internal work in the art of FITness.  The meal prep, vitamin supplements and protein intake.

Like a sue chef crafting snacks and meals that are flavorful, delightful and pleasing to the palate.  There is art in gourmet designer of cuisine or art of farming the growth of natural high protein low-fat foods. 👩🏼‍🍳👩🏼‍🌾

Like a painter’s brush strokes, 👩🏼‍🎨 each hand to mouth contact is source of nutrients which compound and make up a FIT physique. Feeding the body in a ritualistic fashion with golden crispy bright fresh foods.🍎🥦🍆🥨🥗🍣🌶🍇🍓🥑🥝🥩🍵🍯🥙🥪🍳

The Art of FITness is a representation of stoic discipline!   All artist welcome.  This means you!

FITness is also expressionistic art of strength!  I, for one, am not a fan of the bulky hulky look. I don’t like the budging veins and popping striated muscles. I’m a cheerleader of pop art…but beefy muscular look isn’t my taste.  I think we can all testify to that by taking one look at my Mr. Chicken Fry.  lol.

There is plenty of FITness art to go around.   The human body is wonderful and it can take so many forms.

The art can be the artist!

The sculpted can be the sculptor.

You can exploit your health and trust it to a coach or personal trainer who can help you rearrange and shape it according to your liking. I personally engineered these workouts to transform bodies into a leaner version.  It comes with the meal plan.

Tap into your creative side and push the boundaries.  Get of the box and try something new.

Jesus didn’t create your soft frame to carry around the stress belly or muffin top!  He created the female body to be strong and reproductive.  Soft and smooth and curvy.

Fire up your inner artist, get the creative juices flowing and start project you!

It will be your best work yet!!

Love, lift and be FIT!

  1. Love this article Angie! I learned about your blog through Hallye. I am an IBO with RemeVerse. She knew that I had been thinking about writing a blog and suggested that I should follow your blog. I love your transparency to put yourself out there! Only receiving my certified personal training certification a couple of years ago, I still have lot to learn about making it my own. Thank you for comparing your passion to an artist and not afraid of being yourself. Well written!
