Bringing Sweaty Back

Best of 2018 (workout series)

Welcome to the Abercrombie and FITness knock out “BEST of WORKOUT” edition for  2018!

I can’t believe another year is drawing to a close.

While some parts of the year seem to crawl by, long cold winter days, others fly past fast and furious zooming by in such a hurry. I can’t believe we are mid way through another school year ALREADY?

Today I want to take a quick gander back in time at the raw numbers. To put it into prospective, I did some quick simple math.

365 days in a single year rounds out to be approximately 52 weeks. This year I took off three full weeks away from the training studio,  Spring break, Summer vaca July 4th, and Thanksgiving.  This leaves 49 weeks that I was in the studio training all of my beautiful  fem fatales. The majority of my A list clients train three times a week which for them adds up to be about 147 works a year.  For those who logged two a week that’s 98 workouts for the year!!!!   Who’s feeling a fist bump or high-five right now!!!  Give or take a sniffle or a work engagement these girls come in each week and work it out!  They put in the time and do the work.  So many success stories and baggie pants up in the gym this time of year!  I love it!

Here is what I know…exercise adds up quick and it works! Every workout session builds upon stamina, energy and melting fat! Every time you step foot into a gym or training session or gear up in your own home, it’s one step closer to gaining what I call FITMENTUM!

The general consensus amongst the loyal Abercrombie and FITness go getters is that Tabata is the ultimate workout of the month.  Tabata bing, tabata boom!

I usually throw in a TABATA workout twice a month to mix it up and it’s always a crowd pleaser. I use combination exercises for a high intensity interval train and high cardio calorie burn.

This was one of the TABATA top five of the year!

High knee bench toe taps

Tricep dip with stability ball hamstring curl

Elevated heels Deadlift curl press

.

Deadlifts heavy

Stationary lunge up downs with a shoulder raise.

Pull downs

Ace plank from forearms m&w

Front lunge need ball on the shoulder

Tabata is fast and fun!  A total of 8 different movements in 20 second intervals with 10 second intervals of rest in between each exercise!

BACK TALK was a fan favorite! Working the lower back is often overlooked causing a ton of issues and possible pain! The back exercises I demonstrate in the post can be easily be done from home or a gym environment. Strength training the lower back is imperative to bring balance to the body and to prevent injury.

It doesn’t have to be Tuesday for you to try a TRX workout. Try TRX Tuesday

It’s amazing how many incredible exercises and muscles you can isolate and work to fatigue with this gadget! TRX is a suspension trainer targeting legs, core, back, chest, arms and muscles you didn’t even remember existed.

BURPIES!!

Burpies are a classic move.  No trainer will ever tell you different.  Burpies never go out of style and will be around until Jesus comes back.   What I like about burpies is their versatility.  You can add on or take away or modify the burpie.  It’s child’s play really!
